Late Sep to Oct for colors and festivals. May to June for lake weather without peak crowds.
Getting there
Branson Airport (BKG) or Springfield (SGF), about 50 minutes north. Most visitors drive in.
Where to stay
The Strip for shows on foot, the Landing for walkable dining, Table Rock for cabins and quiet.
Typical daily budget
Roughly $120 to $250 per person including a show and a park day.
Getting around
You need a car. Highway 76 traffic is real; use the color-coded bypass routes.
Slow season

Independent, opinionated, and updated every season

Discover Branson is a reader-supported travel guide. We are not the tourism board and we do not run a ticket booth. We pay our own way, revisit places, and update guides when prices or hours change.

  • Every show and attraction on this site has been visited in person
  • Prices rechecked each season, with the date noted on every guide
  • We say when something is not worth it
