Where a car helps, why Highway 76 slows down and which airport makes sense.

You will probably want a car

Branson attractions are spread between the Strip, downtown, Table Rock Lake and Silver Dollar City. Rideshares exist, but availability drops late at night and outside the central corridor.

Airports

Branson Airport (BKG) is closest but has limited schedules. Springfield-Branson National Airport (SGF) is roughly an hour away and usually offers more flight and rental-car choices.

Avoiding Highway 76 traffic

The Strip becomes slow before showtimes and on festival weekends. Learn the colored alternate routes—Red, Blue and Yellow—and leave extra time when crossing town.

Parking

Most attractions provide free surface parking. Downtown and Branson Landing require more attention to garage signs, time limits and walking distance.

Simple rule: group each day by area. Do the Strip together, the lake together and Silver Dollar City on its own day.
